FMOC-(R)-3-AMINO-3-(3-NITRO-PHENYL)-PROPANOIC ACID - Introduction
Fmoc-R-3-Amino -3-(3-nitrophenyl) propionic acid is an organic compound containing an Fmoc protecting group, an acylamino group, and a 3-(3-nitrophenyl) propionic acid group in its chemical structure.
Its properties are as follows:
-Appearance: White or yellowish solid
-melting point: about 135-140 ℃
-Solubility: Soluble in organic solvents such as dimethylformamide (DMF) and dichloromethane, slightly soluble in ethanol and chloroform
Fmoc-R-3-amino -3-(3-nitrophenyl) propionic acid is mainly used for peptide synthesis in solid phase synthesis and can be used as a substitute for acyl amino (Ac-Am) protecting group. By using the Fmoc protecting group, the acylamino group can be protected to prevent an unnecessary reaction from occurring, and the protecting group can be removed after the end of the synthesis.
The general method for manually synthesizing the compound is as follows: First, 3-(3-nitrophenyl) propionic acid and Fmoc-imino-propionic anhydride are condensed under alkaline conditions to generate an intermediate. The protecting group Fmoc is then introduced using enzymatic or chemical methods to give Fmoc-R-3-amino -3-(3-nitrophenyl) propionic acid. Finally, the protecting group is removed by acid catalysis to obtain the target product.
Regarding safety information, the use of Fmoc-R-3-amino -3-(3-nitrophenyl) propionic acid should follow the safe practice of chemical laboratories. It may be irritating to the eyes, skin and respiratory tract. Please pay attention to protective measures and avoid direct contact. During use, it is recommended to wear protective glasses, gloves and laboratory coats, and operate in a well-ventilated place. Such as inadvertent inhalation or contact, should be promptly washed, and medical advice.
